There has never been an Alaskan quarterback in the NFL, but there are some who are up there with him. Conor Feckley is one of those players. Feckley is an amazing pocket passer who threw for over 12,000 yards in college and high school. He also set the state passing record, passing for 2,559 yards in one game against Bethel University.
Lujan has played college football for South Dakota State and was named the All-Newcomer Team in 2014. He had a 10-5 record as a starter and led the Bison to their first FBS victory in 2015. In his final season, he completed 17-of-33 passes for 293 yards and three touchdowns.
Another Alaskan who played football in the NFL was Brett Denton of the Boise State University. He helped his team to a 5-0 start this year, dominating opposing teams left and right. His stats look like something out of a video game. The Redington Huskies are off to an incredible 5-0 start this season.
Another talented football player from Alaska is Nick Mystrom. After he graduated from Colorado College, he moved to kicking. In 1995, the Memphis Mad Dogs took the chance on an unknown rookie and used him as a replacement for an ineffective kicker. The team was happy to sign the 6-foot-3, 205-pounder, and he proved his worth as a pro.
